TCM 2011: A Time to Reflect

As 2011 draws to a close, this would be an appropriate time to look back on the past year and reflect on the many exciting changes that have taken place at The Chip Merchant, TCM.

January–March: After several years of providing various IT support services to our client base, The Chip Merchant officially announces its own IT services division to complement its existing OEM hardware business. These services include managed services, helpdesk support, cloud computing, backup & disaster recovery, virtualization, storage, PCI compliance and project services.

May: TCM partners with AIS, a SAS 70 Type II compliant data center to host the TCM Cloud.

June: Introduction of the new TCM Brand which include a new logo and website. In addition, TCM’s Referral Program was announced.

July: TCM partners with Telcentris for hosted VoIP solutions.

August: TCM formally announces TCM Managed Services to the public.

October: TCM unveils its Office in the Cloud service.

November-December: In a continuous effort to provide hardware solutions, TCM discusses the advantages of the Section 179 deduction when purchasing hardware and software.

2011 has been a busy and exciting year for us at TCM, where significant changes were made to the TCM business model. Implementing these changes were both challenging and rewarding, but as a company, our objective was always to make sure that our customers could still count on us for their hardware needs while educating them on the new IT services that are now officially available to them. I am happy to say that we reached that objective and we continue to grow each day because of our loyal customer base.

Furthermore, we are excited about the new year during which we expect considerable growth while we continue on our quest to become the technology provider of choice for the small business. Lining up our core competencies and strong industry knowledge with those of our partners, which includes AIS, Telcentris, Nimble Storage, and Cbeyond among others, we shall continue to offer the highest value from top industry players. In closing, the TCM family would like to thank each and every one of our customers. Without you we wouldn’t be the company we are today. We look forward to serving you in 2012 and beyond.
